Sorry to be cross-posting like a newbie, but I'm hoping to get some 411 together in short time... I was just asked to give a lecture in a course on Music/Media/Technology here at U of T, on glitchpop and the whole artistic misuse of technology/scavenger aesthetics thing. I've been putting the lecture plan with little difficulty, but I'm having a real problem choosing the 'example' recordings that I'd play for the class. So if you're familiar with glitchpop (or clickpop, or whatever) I have a couple of questions: 1) If your friend asks you "What does glitchpop sounds like?" what would you say? What is the sound(s) of glitchpop? 2) If your friend asked for a few sample tracks to help them understand the sounds of glitchpop, what would you give them? I've already got my own ideas of what glitchpop is, but I don't want this lecture to turn into "Luis's top ten." Thanks in advance to everyone who helps me out! cheers, Luis P.S. It goes without saying, but please respond by private email. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
